| More and more of our citizens are becoming walfare dependant. Now is the time for change. We need to tie welfare to education so that welfare participants are required to further their education by obtaining their GED or with tecnical training. This will afford these citizens with a means to get out of the system and lead to productive lives and ultimately reduce the welfare roles. I beleave in the old saying, give a man a fish and you feed him for a day but teach a man to fish and you feed him a lifetime. | |||
| It is unfair to penalize a person when the buy a house or property and try to get ahead. A higher sales tax is a fair an equally applied tax instead of property tax that only tax citizens that are looking to their future. Sales tax is shared equally and based on what a person spends, if you make less you spend less and if you make more you spend more, everyone shares equally in the tax burden according to his ability to pay. Also non-citizens pay and share the burden of the services they use. | |||

| I believe that a person that commits a crime should be punished with time at hard labor and not simple incarceration which for some is a vacation. If punishment is working for the state doing maintenance such as grass cutting, highway cleanup, maintaining ditches and clearing brush from alongside roadways, the cost of incarceration would be decreased throught decreased maintenance cost. This would also reduce crime because our children would see that crime has a punishment and they must pay for their actions. | |||
